The UK Department for International Trade is organizing the Africa Investment Conference on January 20, 2022.

This virtual event will take place on the occasion of the second anniversary of the historic UK-Africa Investment Summit hosted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in London.

The Africa Investment Conference will provide a platform for UK and African businesses to connect.

It will encourage the creation of agreements, facilitate networking opportunities and increase visibility and interest in African opportunities in a context of impact and clean growth. Delegates will be able to hear firsthand from UK companies on how to do business across Africa.

The conference is supported by the Africa Investors Group, a grouping of some of the largest UK investors in Africa.

“I will discuss with a panel of experts their experience in investing and promoting investment on the continent in various sectors and economies. How this is influenced by the focus on cleantech and ESG after COP 26 and the outlook for COP 27, as well as the opportunities presented by AfCFTA, and the challenges and opportunities for Africa after COVID ” , said Andrew Skipper Co-Chairman of the Africa Investors Group and Chairman of Hogan Lovells Africa Practice.
